1929 MOBILE MARDI GRAS

A knight of King Felix III and a maid of Queen Frances Whiting in Mobile's 1929 Mardi Gras court become one. It would be the last Mardi Gras before the great crash in October of 1929. By 1932, however things were looking up for the Butler family. It appeared there were blue skies on the horizon. However, two brothers from Fairhope would forever change things on that fateful day of August 22, 1932. Mobile and Fairhope and two families in both towns would never be the same.
