  • People playing this for the first time usually find it easier to use all downstrokes at first.

  • baby steps man, your not gonna pick up a guitar for the first time and start rippin it. everyone starts with down strokes. when you get pretty good and comfortable with it, you can do it pretty fast, now on the alternate picking. especially if a minor pentatonic is the scale of choice. easy, but can be hard if you try to run with it. slow is smooth, and smooth is fast.

  • Shut up people! This man has just thought me how to practice scales!

  • Greg , i have been trying to play the electric guitar for a bit now , progression is slow, but my enthusiasm remains at all time high , in the past i have ignored the minor pentatonic scale, i have jumped in at the deep end with out a life belt , After seeing your video, a life boat has come to my rescue . Getting the basics right is a must, a lesson as been learnt. Many thanks, Gary Sheffield England

  • do you have any videos for practicing the other 4 positions?

  • --you are a good teacher keep it goin...eisssh,,

  • I really enjoyed the video. It was nice practicing a scale to a backtrack versus a boring meteronome! Thanks!!!

  • You are the best Internet guitar teacher out there. After following all your free stuff I can play a hell of lot better and I'm probably going to subscribe on the website. I finally can understand...thanks!!!
