Hi, I am looking to get some kind of software music maker, is the buzz tracker easier on cpu resourses than something like Reason or FL studio? I am new to computer music and there is so much out there!

Did you do all the music with the program only?

Hey. :)

Buzz Tracker is extremely efficient. It's has a modular design and is programmed to be lightweight by not having a lot of fancy graphics.

All of my music is composed in Buzz, though I sometimes use VST plugins and sample libraries within Buzz. The synths in this are Buzz. The drums and stuff are samples.

Reason and FL studio are easier than Buzz in a lot of ways tho, so try them out. Buzz is tough to even get working. :P

Hey hamsteralliance, tough to even get working? Oh boy, maybe I'll try it after I get some experience with something else.

I found one called Reaper that I can get for 60$ non-commercial and the trial is fully functional. I think I'll try it first. I'm on a budget and I appreciate them having the lower price.
