so pretty much my physics teacher made an assignment...to do a presentation that had something to do with physics...in response my buddies and i built a trebuchet from scrap wood, metal bits, stolen railroad ties, and about 30 dollars worth of purchased stuff...one if those things being a strawberry cheesecake heh... so anyways...the treb is 15 feet tall at arms length, about 20 when the additional bag rope length. in case you were wondering, it was of our own design motivated from pics of other ones on google...
enjoy.
f.y.i. we did the actually math in class, so you won't have to watch the boring stuff.

  • peinliche konstruktion

  • Well what do you expect? we were three high school kids with no budget and no idea how to properly construct a trebuchet yet we still managed to build it in one weekend. but yes, compared to legitimate trebuchets, ours is rather sub par

(i'm just assuming you understand english... Ich kann das nicht auf deutsch schreiben. Es tut mir leid.)

  • hey, my friend and i are trying to build a trebuchet for physics class. the entire thing, when ready to launch, must be under one cubic meter. we have built the whole thing, but we cant see, to get the pumpkin out of our bag. any tips or instruction?

  • Really cool project. Too bad you guys didn't show the math - I'd actually like to see what you guys used for building this. I'm currently modeling a trebuchet in 3D for a game I'm making and I'm looking to see what other people have done.
