This Ballet music from Faust composed by Gounod is now played by the YMCA Harmonica Orchestra from Hong Kong. It is a full orchestra of 80 members with chromatic harmonica as principal instrument playing mainly classical music. It was founded in 1941 and Larry Adler, Chamber Huang and Fung On are advisors of the orchestra. This video is taken from their performance in Chengdu China in July 2007 with Hui Yau Fong conducting. This performance has also been broadcasted in the Szechuan TV in China.

  • I didn't read your info at first, so I was a little surprised when I saw that most of them were playing harmonica :D But it sounds great, though I wish there were more melodies intertwined.
