The British media did such a great job during & after this world cup in shifting the focus away from the suspicious refereeing by constantly writing & insisting that South Americans (in particular Argentina & Uruguay) were cheats & violent. For the past 23 years they have used the Hand of God incident to continue painting a negative picture of Argentine football. If Maradona had scored that goal against any other team instead of England, we would never have heard anything further.
