vintage synth demo by RetroSound

Korg Mono/Poly Analog Synthesizer from the year 1981

part1: Arpeggiator, Poly-Mode, Unisono-Mode and different VCO, VCF, Envelope and Effect settings

The Korg Mono/Poly is one of the best monophonic classic analog synths but very underrated.
The sound of 4 real VCO`s , the great SSM filter, the Effect Sektion with Osc.-Sync and Crossmodulation is fantastic.

  • @DoeDeerDoe I'd like to buy it too... But I can't effort :(

  • I own one of these too, and you would need at least 10 videos like this to show all that it can do!

Anyway, good demo, and more importantly good sound quality.

Korg's best effort to compete with the Minimoog, which was just discontinued when the Mono/Poly came out.

In fact this synth has very little Korg electronics in it, unlike the MS20. It should have been called the E-mu Systems Mono/Poly, since the oscillator chips and filter chip are from that company which made modular synths.

  • Digital sound is nothing in front of analog sound !

  • A brilliant synth with a FAT ass sound..... easily up there as one of my favorite synths of all time.

  • Giorgio moroder!
