its just to change the look of the car cheaply and temporarily. Protecting the paint is more of a bonus. The vinyl can be removed and bring the car back to it's original look at the time of the owners choosing.

What is the main reason people give for doing this? I have a '99 Seville that has a few body parts that are slightly different shades of color from donor cars. I've been thinking of a wrap versus painting. On a car like the lambo do people just want a different look or are they also protecting the factory paint?
