Get Off the Boat

This is a parody of SNL + The Lonely Islands Im On a Boat music video with T-Pain. I helped out with it for a large Catholic Campus Ministry event called FOCUS Outbreak.

The theme was Get Off the Boat, referring to the passage in Matthew in which Jesus calls his apostle to walk out to Him on the water.

We had to do it.

Jesus told his apostles to get sailin' on the boat

I'll catch up to you later on that ancient fishin' boat

When evenin' came Jesus sat alone
The apostles were already far away in their boat
Jesus started walkin' toward them and they yelled, "It's a ghost!"
As they saw him on the water walkin' out to the boat

They were terrified, paralyzed with fear
What's that on the water walkin' over here?
Jesus said, "It is I. Don't be scared."
Peter said, "Lord, if it is you, then tell me to come there."

And Jesus said
"Get off the boat! Get off the boat!"
Peter doubted and he sank when he stepped off the boat
Jesus caught him and he asked "Boy, why did you doubt?"
As they got back in the boat, the wind died down
