Professor Jonathan von Kodar, delivers a provocative lecture at York University on the Early Christian Church and its path to Power. Professor von Kodar was former President of the American Academy of Religion EIR (Eastern International Region) and holds a degrees from York University (History, Humanities - summa cum laude), Harvard Divinity School (New Testament & Early Christianity - with distinction), Université Laval (science des religions, doctoral studies). Professor von Kodar's specialty is Apocrypha & Gnostic Studies. His interest is the development spread of the Gnostic movement from Judaism of the 1st century BCE to early Christianity through to the late Middle Ages. His facility in languages (Coptic, Ge'ez, NT Greek, Latin, Arabic, Hebrew, Aramaic, Syriac, Ugaritic, German, French, Mongolian and Old Church Slavonic) allows him to analyse original texts cutting through the clutter created by redactors.
