Hate is a Strong Word (A Nick Jonas Love Story) Ch. 1

CHAPTER ONE :)

Kaitlyn's POV
It's Tuesday. I have science today... crap. Don't get me wrong, I love science class. I'm just not so fond of the people in it. Lets see, there's the dumb, excuse my language, whores. There are the jocks that are so full of themselves along with the cheerleaders flirting with them all period. The brainiac kids who think they are so much smarter than everybody else, which they probably are. Then theres him. The guy that no matter how hard I try to ignore him, there he goes doing something stupid and annoying. Ughh! And where do I fall in these categories? Nowhere. I'm just a simple girl sitting in class with nothing else better to do than learn. And no, I'm not one of those girls with no friends. But I'm not popular either.

I took my seat at the back corner of the room and immediately glanced to the opposite corner but tried to stop myself from looking at him. But before I looked away I realized that he was staring right at me.
"Kait! Hey, anybody home?" I heard my best friend, Sydney ask.
"Oh, yeah sorry. I got... distracted." I answered.
She looked confused. Then suddenly she got suspicious. "You know, you really shouldn't be staring at other guys when you have a boyfriend little missy!"
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever. And I wasn't staring."
"Right," She said, not believing me. "well can I borrow a pencil?"
"Sure, go ahead and look for one, I'm going to the bathroom." I signed out, took the hall pass and left.

Sydney's POV
I dug my head into Kaitlyn's bag trying to find a pencil and I heard the teachers muffled voice while she was assigning project partners.
"Amber Smith and Tony Harrison, Sarah Miller and Josh Woods, Kaitlyn Summers and Nick Jonas," She continued and I flung my head out of her bag with my mouth hanging wide open.
"This should be interesting." I whispered to myself.

Kaitlyn's POV
After I got back from the bathroom, I could tell that Sydney wanted to tell me something but the teacher was watching us. The bell finally rung and it felt like the longest science class ever. I tried to catch Sydney before she left but she was already out the door. I started to walk down the hallway when someone put their arm on my shoulders. I turned around to a curly, brown-haired boy.
"Hey partner."
I quickly brushed his arm off. "What are you talking about?" I questioned him.
"We're project partners." He smiled at me.
"Excuse me?"
"Yup, I'll meet you at six in the library. See you later." He smiled at me and turned right down the hall.
I turned left and ran into Dylan, literally.
"Hey babe." He pulled me in and gave me a sweet kiss. "Movies tonight?"
"Definitely." I started to walk with him to lunch. "So when's your basketball game tonight?" I asked.
"Six. Are you coming?" Crap.
"Oh, sorry I can't. I have a project and I'm meeting my partner at 6."
He grabbed my hand. "Its okay, I understand." He smiled and I smiled right back.

So this chapter has like nothing in it. But it's the first one. So, I just wanted to introduce some of the characters and their relationships. More characters will be added later.
