遠州天竜太鼓・龍勢組 at 静岡県太鼓総会

Tenryu Taiko Ryuseikumi of Tenryu, Shizuoka, playing at the Shizuoka Prefectural Taiko Association's first meeting of 2011.

Most of their members are quite young & the women especially are remarkably strong & energetic. Only one came to the sou-kai, though.

About 1/3 in (2:15 or so) they invite up to the stage one of the handicapped kids from Kanaya's Kawagoshi-daiko's Challenge Team, & despite never having played with them before & not knowing the song, he jumped right in & played along with them, picking up the rhythm instantly. One of the most moving things I've seen in the taiko world to date.
