I learned something today, my cat Simon goes into psychotic rage when picked up. That is all.

That's exactly why cats are horrible spiteful animals. I would NEVER have a cat as a pet. And every time I learn that someone I know has a cat, my respect and liking of them steadily declines each time I hear about their cat. If it was up to me, I'd love for there to be an all-inclusive cat holocaust.

That is a little overkill I think... no? That cat was particularly aggresive and violent...... and mentaly ill. I say 'was' because he is no longer with us.... we put him to sleep because he started to bite our infant. But the good news is that our other cat 'Samson' is a delightful creature... you can hold him whenever you like, and he is very tolerant. He NEVER bites!! We love him very much. So not all cats should be gassed... just some of them. 8' ]

You're a bloody idiot, the cat gave you plenty of warning. Quite a lot of cats just don't like being picked up, and even less like being held on their backs like that, it's probably scary for them.

Wow your a fucking asshole, putting that cat to sleep just because it scratched your infant? NEWS, dumbass, some cats don't like being picked up and it's not a good idea to pick them up when they don't like it. Also, insted of just killing it you should've trimmed his nails or given him soft paws nail caps if you hated him scratching so much.

FINALLY, leaving a cat and an infant in the same room together is a damn bad idea unless you are SURE your cat is tame.

@oriaaane Eh, STFU. Did you know that over one million children in USA get seriously injuried from dog attacks every year? I've never heard any news about children getting injuried from cat attacks. And this cat was scared, it tried to protect itself. You probably would too if you were held by someone ten times bigger than you..

Cats are very different, some cats are nice and happy and loves to cuddle and some are more aggressive and sulky of nature.
