this is a song from Pictures at an Exhibition by ELP with a bit different set up (some electronics added) my camera doesn't pickup the real sound and there are some tracking problems(usual for guitar synth.)

  • wich TRACK better, roland gr30, gi10, or axon ax?

  • @ersemola - I don't know about axon, but I have both Roland GR 30 and GI 10 - well, they are different animals - GR is a full guitar synth. and GI is just an interface - so in order to make some music out of it you need to have an extra module (synth) and it can be anything - in terms of tracking I prefer GR30 but it has certain issues wiht delays but it is nature of guitar synths at this point

I'm very happy with GR 30 for more than 6 years and if lost buy it the very next day

    thanks

  • Can you get an authentic violin or strings sound with the gr-30?

  • @LittleEmoBoy001 - yes, you can but the GR 30 stings are not the best to my ears. I usually connect it with Roland Module JVs (1010) and violins there sound much better. Authentic violin sound is a bit of a challenge for electronic equipment.

  • this is one of the most beautiful thigs ive ever herd come out of a guitar on youtube or that ive ever seen played there are no words to describe it.... im gonna get a black blues hawk

  • @mockingbirdst760 - thank you, my friend! Yes, Blueshawk is a great guitar but to get that background stuff you need to get another great piece of gear Roland GR 30 or 33 or 20. The models have no limits with sounds. You can do a lot with them.

Thanks for you very very warm comment!

  • hello, are you playing over a keyboard backing track or it's just the Roland synth?

  • @psynapsurfa It's a midi synth, and it does quite a bit.

  • nice work... is the gr 30 basically like a rompler for guitar, or is it a midid guitar device... can you play real synth tones on it and manipulat them like a synth

  • @rescuejetfusion - thank you, my friend, I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed this piece. I leant it when I was 14 just by listening the record and it stayed with me more that 30 years - The Sage is one of my favorite pieces ever written for a guitar. thank you deeply again.
