At three weeks the puppies mother milk production starts to slow down. It is important to teach the pups to self feed - "lapping". In this clip Margaret is introducing the puppies to their first liquid food. After a couple of hours the pups got the hang of it and their weight gain was dramatic. It is very important to monitor daily the pups weight so you can time the start of self feeding before the pups and the whole family starts getting stressed. More information on www.myinuitdog.co.uk
