FRONTAL OFFSET TEST

OVERALL EVALUATION: Good

Good Good Good Good Marginal Good

Important: Frontal crash test ratings can be compared only among vehicles of similar weight.
Test details:

The Pontiac G6 was introduced in the 2005 model year as a replacement for the Pontiac Grand Am.

Restraints/dummy kinematics — Dummy movement was well controlled. During rebound, the dummy's head hit the roof rail.

Injury measures — Injury measures taken from the head, neck, and chest indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. Forces on the right tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would be possible. Head acceleration from the roof rail hit was low.

  • My brother has the big brother of the g6; the G8. Man i love that car, personality of a good American muscle car and the sharp and crisp handle of a German car. Love the VXR chassis.

  • ahhh im going to miss that car. I had a 2009 pontiac g6. It was my first car. My sister crashed it today on the highway. very sad. It was a really safe car she was going 60 and didnt get hurt. :)

  • the 2005-2010 Pontiac G6 was assembled in

    Lake Orion, Michigan, United States

  • this car crashes LIKE A G6

  • Far east movement lied, The G6 Doesn't really fly THAT high...

  • @mmolay once you think about it thats pretty good cause cause from like 40 no 0 its alot of force. in just sayin

  • Wow, 40 mph causes that much. @MrJamiehammonds Me too.

  • @jinanddevil it's due to your acceleration and the force acted on the vehicle in front of you and what type of acceleration he has. Take a physics 20 class and you will understand enough physics so get why your vehicle only suffered $500 worth of damage.
