Charlie Chaplin Optic Illusion

i know how the hollow face is made, i'm just wondering why i can only see the hollow face if i don't look directly at it, if i look directly at the mask, i only see the inside of a mask, so its like a schizo if i look directly at the mask, but i look just to the outside the outline of the mask, i'd be normal.

If schizos see the hollow side for what it is, and the general public sees it popping... it makes me wonder who's really hullucinating and having dillusions.

I had to focus on seeing this illusion the way he's talking about, but now I get what he's saying. Still, I have to concentrate to see it...

I can only see the "hollow face" if i look just beyond the mask, if i look directly at the mask, i cannot see it, is there some explanation for that?

If you see the back of the mask as 'hollow' instead of seeing a face pop out, you may be schizophrenic. Check into it.

i saw the "inside" before he said it out loud...damn brain

The first time I watched this video I saw a hollow face. It wasn't until I watched it again that I saw the face appear to pop out.
That's really creepy.
