This first story is by far the scariest in the whole film.Really packs a wallop!
Reminds me of a really creepy old British horror story called W.S. by L.P.Hartley. It's about an author similar to Denholm Elliott's character whose evil creation featured in many of his books has somehow come to life and is closing in on him.
