iTanpura v4.3

Are the tanpura options on iTabla as extensive as they are on this app?

Its actually called iTablaPro (used to be a different app called iTabla - no relation, which is now discontinued), and yes it's got everything from iTanpura plus more of course.

Hi RatAteRace it works exactly the same on an iPod Touch (it's basically an iPhone minus the phone). And yes it's avaiable in India via the iTunes store in the itunes software - you just need to get the iPod Touch.

Brilliant! I assume there isn't a version that can run from PC, and isn't touchsceen. Would be great if there was!

I did not have a reason for owning an iPhone till now. Giving money to a cult-like corporation like Apple irks me. However it looks like the app is better than the cumbersome electronic-box equivalents out there.

Ahhh... I 'spose I'm going to be one of Steve Job's minions after all...sigh.

prasadji, you are great. because of you i must be the 1st person in the world to buy ipod touch just to run an app. it sound great especially if you connect it to good speakers. man i stopped singing and just listened to the drone and surmandal for long time.

Hi Upasani, I'm really impressed. It sounds good, and looks really versatile, with lots of controls and useful features. Wish I could see it being operated on the iPod Touch, though. I've been thinking about getting myself an iPod Touch, but you're just giving me the reason to go ahead and do it. Do the Apple stores in India sell this?
