You can't listen to Ian Dury and not crack a grin. Such brilliant rhymes, great beats and hilarious delivery.
Is it a comedy routine or the best musical experience around? Why not both?

Was the manager at this Mobil petriol station up the side of Euston Station when this video was made .Ian was a really nice guy and i remember the day well.Stiff records had booked the site for a couple of hours but believe it or not it took eight hours of filming to make this 3 minute clip . you will notice some of the shots are in daylight and some in darkness . RIP Ian sadly missed by many

He is so funny!! I always end up smiling my face off all thru Blockhead videos.

I went to the V & A museum last saturday and there was a display of london posters near the entrance to the toilets. Ian's poem for the Bus driver (written as a version of the Lord's Prayer) was pretty much facing the entrance to the loo. Not the swishest space to pay homage to Ian and the others, but cos it was by the kazi there were loads of people reading it. A dad read it to his family. Loads more people listened grinning as the dad read it out. Lovely job. Ian Dury, top poet.
