@afg96 according to the bible John 14:16-17 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

So the Comforter is a Spirit. John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it]. So we can pray to Jesus.

@Melki When Jesus said that he meant a prophecy! Of another Prophet it is also in Song of Songs in Solomon's version. Jesus is not God the Bible got used for political reasons after Jesus. That is why God send another Prophet that still says that Jesus was a Prophet.

@afg96 Jesus was talking to his disciples, in Chapter 13: 12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? (13) Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for [so] I am. (14) If I then, [your] Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.

@afg96 What do you think of John chapeter 14? I quote one of the verses, verse 26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you

@Melki Exactly! He prays for all of us, but to God! He asked God to protect us and bring us to the straight path. Jesus did not pray for himself that would be impossible. That is why Jesus is only a Prophet. We Muslim Love Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him) and are awaiting his finial return.

@afg96 If you say Jesus is not the Father yes, but in the bible it says John 17: 20 - 21, (Jesus prayed:) Neither pray I for these alone (for His disciples), but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
