Lucas is awesome, us liverpool fans like to give our players nic-names, Torres is El Nino, and Benitez is El Kebabo, but Lucas is our Gem and we call him El Shittio, one day El Shittio will be world player of the year, infact he'll be Best player in the Universe.  Simply the best. Never ever leave us Lucas, and please never stop those amazing back passes to Jamie Caragher, and those beautiful 5 yard side passes to Dirk Kuyt or El Golden Retriever as we like to call him.

The 2 players that stood out this summer were Agger and Aqua. there's only 3 spaces and we have 6 quality mid players.

Competition for spots is fantastic, and he'll rotate them, but obviously Kenny will more often than not keep a winning team for the majority of the season.

Will that team contain Lucas? I doubt it

@MrLeelee75 I dont mind saying I'm wrong when I'm wrong, however, we finished 6th last season, and Brazil have nothing in midfield in the Copa. This season we have Adam, Henderson, Aqua, Spearing, Mereles and of course Stevie; hence a lot more competetion for Lucas, last year he had no one threatening his place. I think Kenny will start of with Lucas, however, towards the end of the season Lucas will be warming the bench a hell of a lot. This is great as our mid players will have competition.

people seem to always forgot the age of lucas he still has plenty of time to change into 1 of the best and his not far of now. but not everything has to be offensive wise i think he is 1 of the bes player in liverpool defensive wise

Hes the weak link in the team.. central midfield never have more possession than the opposition (even tonights hammering of Fulham we had less than them). Its crucial that Alonso is finally replaced with a top player (ie.Javi Martinez).. defensively the team is solid..attack led by Suarez is outstanding.. its the weak belly in central midfield (Charlie Adam for me aint a good enough option in the summer) must be addressed

From Alonso patrolling infront of the back 4, dictating and controlling central midfield, and qualifying for CL every single season.. to "replacing" him with lucas... and two years of getting dominated in central midfield and finishing 6/7th

You dont replace class with garbage.. in the most important position on the field, the pivot between defence and attack, and expect to get away with it

Lucas also has made the most tackles in the Premier League. He has also made almost 150 apps for Liverpool at the age of 24, you don't get that far if your crap.
