Hitch isn't too pleased with those who exploit and patronize people on their deathbed. This is a clip from a recent debate with Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens, David Wolpe and Bradley Artson Shavit. • @brownie1982ad The Right Wing supports the church you dullard. I've never seen such a stupid comment that it would have been more valid if you'd just written "cunt".

  • When all the Universe collapses in on itself again and all the matter and energy will occupy the same space. Maybe that's the after life where we all get to be together again.

What do you think of this as a semi serious philosophical idea. It could be a way of science

absorbing/hijacking all religions instead of the other way round ? So science can offer a comforting/disturbing after life scenario for its believers?

These are just random idea's i have I'm not worried if their right or wrong so you shouldn't be either. Here's another one, : ) If the universe's expansion is accelerating is this perhaps because of some as of yet unknown gravitational force perhaps all the dark matter is at the leading edge of the universe and could it be causing the acceleration just like the tyre on a spinning bike wheel gives weight and momentum

    : )

  • And it was, a man true to his word!

  • @MrIrishBilly Look just read the science you are as bad as a theist. Just go to the big crunch wiki page and read it.

  • @patrick112590

You answered your own statement when you said "most likely" as who know's my original comment was meant as only a solution to easing the conscience of believers of faith so science could absorb/hijack these religions instead of the other way round ? So science can offer a comforting/disturbing after life scenario for its believers?

  • @MrIrishBilly Well no, because consciousness most likely doesn't exist independent of the brain. The Universe will collapse in on itself, but humans won't be alive at that point to experience it.

  • @letmein9001 Maybe if you let him have a night off once in a while, he would still be here =(.

  • @foreskinforest I said the INSTITUTION is right wing, it makes no difference if Jesse Jackson votes liberal, he preaches conservatism.

  • @MrIrishBilly Where you are wrong about the accepted model of the universe is this then a final collapse will occur bringing everything back in upon itself. From the Wikipedia article Big Crunch "Recent experimental evidence (namely the observation of distant supernova as standard candles, and the well-resolved mapping of the cosmic microwave background) has led to speculation that the expansion of the universe is not being slowed down by gravity but rather accelerating."
