[Later That Night]
[Eliza's POV]
It was three AM, and Cassie, Becca, and I were all crammed together in the girls' cabin. None of us could sleep.
"So you pretended to be drunk?" I asked Cassie. She was gloating about how she had successfully gotten herself and Becca out of trouble, and I had to admit, it WAS impressive.
"Yeah," Cassie replied brightly. "I couldn't believe it when Kevin let me go. Well, maybe not completely. But for now...I'm safe." She grinned widely as she finished her sentence.
"And you saved me, too," Becca interrupted, smiling with admiration. "Thank you."
The three of us chuckled, and Cassie spoke next.
"I'd take a bullet for you two," she replied quietly, lowering her tone as someone in bed next to us stirred.
Becca and I nodded agreeably.
"Me too," Becca said softly.
"Me three," I responded.
Cassie was suddenly looking malevolent.
"Yes, Eliza, but you'd take a bullet for a complete stranger."
I felt anger swell up in my body instantly, and blood rush to my ears.
"That's not true," I hissed. I didn't want to hear the "you're-a-pushover" lecture.
"Yes it-"
"Don't fight," Becca butted in irritably, interrupting Cassie's insult.
Knowing that fighting wouldn't solve anything, I nodded. Cassie seemed less reluctant, but she agreed after about a minute.
"I think we should go to bed," I suggested, rolling on to my side.
"I agree," Becca yawned, following my actions.
Cassie, however, shook her head.
"I'm staying up," she said, although she sounded exhausted.
Becca and I nodded, knowing that Cassie would pass out eventually, and drifted off to sleep.
[The Next Morning]
[Becca's POV]
Cassie and I survived throughout the next morning. We did our work silently and well, in order not to draw attention to ourselves.
It worked for a while....
But at four in the afternoon, we heard our names being screamed.
"CASSIE AND BECCA!"
Oh no....
Cassie glanced at me frantically. I don't think she was worried so much about herself, but more me. She got in trouble every day, so this wasn't a new thing to her.
But I didn't have scars yet....
And I didn't want any.
Kevin and Joe were storming over to us from across the field, and I felt a strong sensation of fear build up inside of me.
Cassie stepped in front of me defensively as they nearly reached us.
But then someone stepped in front of her, and it was Nick.
"What are you-" Cassie began.
Nick cut her off by glaring at her.
Kevin and Joe laughed as they reached us completely.
"Standing up for the widdle girls, Nicky?" Kevin taunted.
Nick seemed unfazed by his remark, and commented calmly.
"What do you want with them?"
"They broke the rules," Joe said curtly, cracking his knuckles as he spoke. "Now get out of the way."
Nick shook his head and stayed glue to his spot on the ground, and Kevin and Joe glanced at each other, annoyed.
"Move, Nick."
"No."
"We said MOVE."
"And I said NO."
SLAP.
Kevin hit Nick across the face, and he thudded to the dirty ground.
Joe stood on top of his younger brother, forbidding him from standing back up again.
"Thank you, Nick," Kevin complimented evilly, smirking as Nick winced from Joe's weight on top of him.
"Hey, get off of him," Cassie snarled.
I was too much of a coward to comment, so I stood back as Cassie took the lead.
Kevin's eyes found hers.
"Shut up. You're in enough trouble."
"Get your fat ass off of him!" Cassie repeated angrily, glaring hatefully at Joe.
Nick moaned in pain as Joe dug the heel of his shoe into his neck.
I stared at Cassie, shocked. How could she talk to them like that so easily? Needless to say, she was amazingly brave.
"Come with us," Joe instructed, digging his heel even deeper into Nick's skin.
Cassie shook her head violently.
"No," she refused.
Before I had a chance to do or say anything (although I doubt I would have), Kevin had me grasped by the neck.
"Come with us. NOW," he growled, tightening his grip on my neck in order to threaten Cassie.
Cassie was nearly trembling now, but she managed to speak.
"N-no."
I stared at her incredulously.
"Hmm, all right," Kevin chimed, digging his nails into my skin. "Fine. You're off the hook, then. But your little friend isn't."
I swallowed and felt my heart rate speed up.
Cassie bit her lip, and I noticed her cross her fingers.
"Why don't you just take me, and leave Becca alone?" she suggested shakily.
Kevin chuckled and shoved me over to Joe, who kicked Nick once more before grabbing me by the shoulders.
"Now where would be the fun in that? You're like a statue when I beat you. Maybe she'll be more...enthusiastic."

normally i have like a fave POV but in this story i like every character equally wich is awesome because that leads to no boring chapters :D
also I think Nick and Cassie would be a great couple because they are the 'rebels' there tho I have a feeling its gonna be Nick and Becca?
