This video shows you how to mix amla (indian gooseberry powder) for a natural hair conditioner, and also give tips on how to use it in henna for hair mixtures, and for a gentle facial scrub.

To purchase amla visit my website http://www.freehandmehndi.com/product/amla-powder

  • If you use Amla by itself is there any color change? Also, I wonder if I could mix it with oil instead of water as a deep conditioner? Any advice would be very appreciated since I'm new to Henna, Amla and the like and trying to become familiar with what does what.

  • @Poorstargazer23 amla does not color the hair. I've never used amla with oil as a deep conditioner. There is an amla oil on the market so I suppose that would work well. Give it a try and let me know.

  • Hello :),

Can I mix Amla powder with hot tea like I would do with henna or no? Thank you for your video :).

  • @MegaCocobelle I don't see why not. Mix away!

  • Where can you get indigo from?

  • @natrlchallenge I have indigo available.

  • you know amla is not the same like henna? omg i'm confused. amla is something else!

  • i have a question i am so confuse, on this video you mixed the amla with the water and then you said to mix it in the henna, 15 minutes prior to use it on the hair, then, on the henna mix video you only put the amla powder without mixing it with water, and you just put it on the henna without using with water so what is the proper way to do it so I could get a brown color?

  • Can I use it weekly along with brahmi powder?

  • How long should I leave this in my hair/on my skin? Could it be mixed with cassia?

  • Thank you :)

  • I love Ayurvedic products for conditioning and some daily usages. I currently have an Amla mix on my hair as a deep conditioner.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Peace and blessings always,

    Cee
