BTW, Harvey is the only one that stares down, because he just wants to go home, and looking at Mercury would just remind him, how far away they are. Because of this scene he's my favorite crew-member, I can identify the most with him.
Next to 2001: a space odysee, this is the only movie that conveys the emptiness and vastness of space for me and our insignificance in it. The mere thought of it all makes me crazy. Still, everyone should think about it once in a while, in order too just let go of pitty little everyday problems ;) As Pinbacker said, we are stardust. In the end, he had the wrong attitude, though^^

There was one thing I didn't get. Why didn't they name the movie Icarus?
