This is me raising funds for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life Event, being held at California State University @ Los Angeles. My sister is part of the Early Entrance Program Team involved in the event which will be held May 20-21, 2011 on Campus. (For more information, please visit: http://www.asicsula.org/cancer)
This seemed more personal and meaningful for my sister and I to do than another type of fund raiser.
I hope you enjoy and could find a way to make a donation. Each member of the team would like to donate at least $100.00. And remember, EVERY penny counts, and IT IS a VERY VERY worthy cause.

Donations can be mailed to:
California State University, Los Angeles
Early Entrance Program (EEP)
c/o Dominique for the American Cancer Society
5151 State University Drive
Los Angeles, California, 90032

If you choose to mail in a check, please make the check out to the "American Cancer Society".
If you prefer to donate online, please visit http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR/RelayForLife/RFLFY11CA?px=21378745&pg=p... and click the "Donate" button.

Thank You to all who have donated (and watched)!

  • wow

  • great performance .

  • @donovandustin Why a doctor? Lol, I would think you'd be in a more upbeat field, like engineering. Haha, you might as well start deciding now, though, because it is going to take time and you'll want to thoroughly think it through. In a couple years then, you'll be ready for your choice! :) Hope I helped!

  • @TheBeeDreams EXACTLY! I don't want to think of these things now! I'm only 11. I'd like to go to EEP, but I like acting/singing too. However, I do need a backup plan, if I fail in the entertainment industry, so I may as well start studying to be a doctor now, BUT i won't be able to perform/sing. SO, FORGET IT! I'm too young for this now. It was a VERY easy choice for Dom, but NOT me! For right now, I'm happy/relieved I missed it. Thanks! Your very nice. :-)

  • @donovandustin Again, you have to make a choice. Performer vs. College

because if you take the purely academic route, your talents will have to take a backseat. SO you have to realistically, objectively decide what your chances of having a successful career as a performer are as opposed to your chances in academia (to be fair, your chances as a performer are excellent, since you're so talented!)

    Two factors:

    1. Which do you love most?

    2. Which is realistically the best career choice?

  • @TheBeeDreams Another reason I don't think it's for me: Dr. Maddox says Actors don't do very well in the Early Entrance Program. I'd have a real hard time deciding if I wanted to quit acting/singing to go to College, instead of 7-12th grade. It's also difficult to get a work permit signed when you are a College Student! LOL! My mom tried to get Dom's renewed, but it seems like an ACT/SAT/Associate Degree doesn't matter much (or being a college student). What does matter is the CAHSEE!Go Figure

  • @donovandustin aww DONT LET DOM HOLD YOU BACK. you're really talented and loads of people have gotten in at age 12. she can deal with her self esteem issues later, but you do what you think is best for YOU, not anyone else but solely you!

  • @TheBeeDreams I took the SEAAA last December and missed the qualifying scores required, by a bit. Maybe I'll take it again, but I really don't want to go to College and follow in your guys' footsteps at this point (besides Dominique doesn't want me there. I'd have to be at least 13, or she'd hate me for being a younger EEPSTER than her! But, time will tell, LOL! :-)

  • you're so talented! when are you applying to EEP?

  • @WishKid12 Thanks, "Sis"
