  • I like how the guy explains how the original is every horror movie makers dream of effects, and yet this movie raped everything that the original did with CGI

  • @TheSwedishAssassin the studio raped this movie not the director not the cast not even the movie effects makers they did a good job. BUt this movie was supposed to be practical the directr wanted it he had everything yet the stuido demanded re-shots whith cgi,,, I hate Universal for this. But Matthijs is not the first director getting screwed over by a stuido David FIncher got it on Alien 3 and ridley scott seems to be getting a PG-13 Promethetus cause Fox wants it to be....... wow just wow :(

  • I liked this prequel, Its was a lot better then half of the scifi mainstream crap thats been coming out. But what hurts this movie was all the CG. because its always gonna be predictable & hard to kinda make the monster belivable. & at the end of the day it makes you wanna go back and just watch The John Carpenters 1982 movie.

  • f*ck the studio

  • They added no mystery to who ever was the thing, or even hints of it. It's just, Oh, he died. Another thing pops up 5 minutes later. Then another one pops up. Hey, you're the thing. 4 Minutes later, hey look, teeth. 5 Minutes later, another thing. The original version achieved real results of fear and paranoia because people weren't exposed to such grotesque images and shots of things like that back then, unlike now, we're movies like " human centipede " or something else, is nothing compared

  • @TheThingPrequel I'll buy that. I wouldn't doubt the studio being dumb enough to go cgi. Too bad. I still point out that the thing is no longer stealthy, but instead a monster with a big tentacle/penis thing in the middle of the room... literally.

  • @TheSwedishAssassin most of the scenes are models with cgi on certain parts to make it grow, bubble, and show stuff happening under the skin (quote from special effect guy on movie) i did also hear them saying stuff got replaced like the channel owner said

  • @TheSwedishAssassin

Original? which original? the 1951 version or the 1982 version?

  • I would like to see the faces of all the people that were crying like little grils, thinking that this movie was a remake...XD or what happend to them. Their comments were not only ridiculous, they were really funny too. And not only the comments, they've made videos about it. hahahahaha poor guys.

  • no offense to mary elizabeth winstead but did she really have to be in this movie? she's all ready been in a few horror movies. they could had got a different actress

  • @Hiveslayer18989 So what if a family member walked in? They would most likely call the police who would be ineffectual against such an opponent. As for the army response even the most mobile Special Forces regiments take around 11+ hours or so to mobilize. Another factor is animals. What if The Thing infected a bird or a fish? Containment would be next to impossible. Even if Whitleys task force managed to wipe out the ensuing chaos in the city how would we track down a fish or a pigeon?
