  • What diameter is your beer line? Is it the 5/16 that came with the kegerator or did you replace it?

  • @ndtoronto It is the same line that came with the Danby. 5/16" sounds about right. I did not modify it at all. It needs to remain a certain length for proper flow, or "draught" (draft). That line is getting old now, I probly should attempt to replace it...

  • what size pvc pipe did you use?

  • @iwllkilluall I can't remember, and i can't access it right now. Either 3/4" or 1". Next time I am in there, i will look and reply.

  • Thx for the model number. I am guessing you also strip/cut the tips of the adapter and splice in your lines from the fan? Did you have two adapters for each fan (one for circulation one for the tower) or were they both using the same adapter?

  • @aiydn2eliy Just 1 adapter, & yes i cut the end & soldered it to the fan's wires. (come to think of it, i think i made a connector so that i could pull the wire down out the drain if i had to.) That fan runs all the time. The tiny little 1.5" fan that came with the kegerator - that runs off the unit's electronics, i think that also runs all the time too. I probly could have tapped into that existing fan and taken power, but i didn't want to burn anything out upstream, in the unit's electronics.

  • @aiydn2eliy The fan inside the fridge part is a 12V DC computer fan, and I am powering it with an AC Adapter from Radio Shack. I am only powering it using 9 volts though, because 12 volts was too loud, and didn't push any more air than 9 volts did. The AC adapter i have has a voltage selection slide switch: 1.5, 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9 or 12VDC. I am using 9 volts. Go to the radio shack site and search: Model 273-315. Hope that helps !

  • Can you describe how you powered you fans? I am not familiar with how to power a PC fan with regular household power... thx

  • It's amazing the manufacture didn't take this into account.

If I was Danby, I would offer this either as an option or included !

AND, I would send you a healthy check for the idea!

You are a beer drinkers BEER MAN!!!!
