  • I miss the upper radome, too. It doesn't look like a pregnant shark without it. If I recall correctly it was the APS-45 Height Finder Radar that went in the upper radome.

  • It takes a real pilot to handle three tails

  • I hope they preserve it in a manner that might allow flights in the future if the situation changes. Maybe an annual flight or something.

  • Great video; just wondering where the upper lobe is for the Air Search radar? When I was assigned to the 552nd AWACS at Tinker AFB, OK back in 1986, we had an EC-121 flown in and put on static display near the main gate. It had both upper and lower lobes.

  • beautiful and sad all at the same time, i know you cant afford to keep these beauties flying but all that work for one flight.......thats sad that it wont be kept running
