You dont have to hit it with your nail, you can just use your thumb.

It's probably just a damaged phone from being handled and abused in the store.

Holy crap man it's a capasative touch screen which means it's heat sensative there is no need to slam your nails on the screen. Electronics are not meant to be slamed around. Maybe that is why you are getting lagg

Yes. It does have push email. I have a Gmail account setup, and it works great with getting my emails to me quickly. thanks.

i'm wanting to get this phone but at the sprint store their model won't rotate the keyboard when turned sideways. I need to know if that's a software update or something? Please someone let me know.

@waffles497 The Hero, as I have tested, can rotate the keyboard in almost every app except "contacts." There was a minor update late last year but I'm almost positive that the Hero could perform this keyboard rotation before then. Hope this helps.
