Thousands of people packed into a historic village square yesterday for a traditional annual horse fair.
Crowds flocked to The Square in Wickham to enjoy the popular event which dates back to the 13th century.
Traders paraded their horses in a specially constructed run through the middle of the village while in the square itself families were able to enjoy a funfair and market.

No its not a lovely fair. I stopped going around 20 yrs ago. The horses are paraded, then left, whilst the virile men go to the pub and get very, very drunk. The horses, often, do not get a drop of water even though they are tied up somewhere and cannot ask. Its a disgrace. But they are an "Ethnic Minority" now, these people, so no one dare say anything to them. Another disgrace
