@chevman792001 a subaru engine is not a flat 4 it is an oppoesed 4 cylinder engine meaning the cylinders are across from each other 2 per side NOOB!

you are right that it is an opposed 4 cylinder, it is also known as a flat four because the engine is laying flat just like Lamborghini's. . It's not in the "v" configuration or the "straight" configuration. I can school you some more if you don't know what "v" or "straight" means.
