This is the original 1965 syndicated "Tom and Jerry" show close which was produced by Chuck Jones' MGM Cartoon Unit director Tom Ray for CBS.(This is version "A") The music track is by Eugene "The Grinch" Poddany.
These segments were originally produced for the CBS run. There were about six or eight opening montages, and about as many "mid act" bumpers as well.
These were produced while Chuck Jones was producing animation for MGM, including his TOM AND JERRY series. This was also the period when he made THE DOT AND THE LINE as well as HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS.
In these "CBS Saturday morning" half-hours, there wasn't time to show the original MGM theatrical credits in each cartoon- so they used new shorter titles, with "full" credits at the end....
Whenever you saw this bumper you knew to run the HECK away because the MGM lion would come up any second.
