Thank's for your story i love how you reacted the whole event,by the way i just seen my doctor today for the lapband but im seriously considering the gastric if you have advice please share,you should have your surgery by now.Thank's sherlita

I know that the lapband doesn't usually have as high percentage of weghtloss compared to the RNY bypass. I would say depending on how much you want to lose and your thoughts on the associated risks with each surgery, would help you decide. I was unsure at first- I am very happy with my decision so far. Also, some insurance companies view lapband as cosmetic, and they won't cover it as a medically necessary procedure as with the bypass. Good Luck! Keep me posted!

what kind of hospital sets your date and time like that? I mean, when people are suppose to have surgery, they should already be put in a surgeons 'BLOCK' to get you in. Thats rediculous and Im sorry that it happened to you. Totally sucks. I'd really have a talk to someone about that and probably write in a complaint to the hospitals patient reps. Totally wrong.

I was "blocked" into the surgeon's schedule- BUT he also does life saving transplants and such- SO since my surgery was voluntary and not a matter of life and death, they had to make room for the other patient..which I TOTALLY understand- but was bummed and disappointed none the less! Thanks for your comment! Thank God- my surgery was saved!

WOW What a rollercoaster! I would have flipped! Everything will work out! I had the same issues as far as preparing and having mom fly out etc...and I was petrified that something was gonna go wrong! Enjoy your weekend! Were keeping the bench warm for ya!

thank you so much and i know this will be the best investment ive ever made in myself lets us know soon how you are im trying to take notes so i will be ready for this journey. im glad you are well on your way. are you nervous or excited. i would be almost to the point of passing out.
