An old concept I made which I had to abandon due to a re-install. None of the really fancy stuff, just simple combos that beginners can get into. A second, more advanced version is in the pipeline.

  • lol I play birdie religiously, and thats a basic vism thats very questionable... ant 1:15, u clearly see 2 animation frames of ryu standing, before talkin ground hits from the vc.....Even the guard option on practice mode blocks that combo. but if u say its an infinite, then what can i say. its ur video bro,,,u win.

  • That particular set-up does, however, make it unblockable. Though watching the vid, it clearly shows Ryu free to move around for 2 or so frames. This was due to sloppy capturing on my part. With proper timing the opponent will stand up into the two simultaneous attacks. Additionally, using the Guard mode in Training Mode, is not a good way to test, because the dummy is able to block all unblockables. If you'd like I can re-record the combo to show you.

  • the last combo is not an unblockable....

  • In what way is it not?

  • because u can simply block low after the grab.. there is no overhead VC initiatior that continues as a ground VC that prevents ryu from guarding after his recovery.

  • That is not the case. Though it's difficult to see in the movie, if you pause at 01:15, you will see that the shadow from the jumping light kick hits at the same time as Birdie's crouching light kick, making it unblockable.

  • @necroblazer basically just crouch after the air attack eh wont be able to flip if you never stand still

  • @necroblazer yes,it is when you crouch after jumping in order to avoid the standing state that permits the character to flip out of the combo

  • can someone explain exactly what is crouch canceling and its uses? and how is it done?

  • cool

  • good stuff man,i need to get back into alpha 3, too much X men and marvel atm.

  • How gracious of you. I'll take that opportunity of having the last word to point out that people are generally irritated when someone not only won't admit to having made a mistake, but then take it a step further and insult people who make the correct statement.

  • damn bro...like i said its not that serious... but if u wanna have the last say be my guess...I'll give u a chance to respond to this and feel good about urself...GGS

  • You're misunderstanding the combo. The idea is that the shadows hit high from the jumping attack as the crouching attack hits low, and therefore which direction you should attempt to block will be functionally random, or literrally irrelevant.

Furthermore, you can grab out of block stun with command grabs in A3 during VCs, so it's a free 360° throw at the least.

  • Nah bro... This has gone on long enough... No need to grovel. Save urself the trouble. nobody never asked for a retake...lol...If u say tha "sloppy capturing on my part" is an Unblockable, then thats what it is. Enjoy.
