I tried to play "After you've gone" in Harry Connick Jr's way. It's the first time I tried to play something that I heard without score, it would be nice to give me your opinion about this work. Thank you (and sorry for the dissonances...)

  • Thank you AlexandreSCHOUAME. I very much appreciate this video. I bought the 25 CD in 1994 and always wanted to figure this music out on the keyboard.

    If you ever have a chance to set up a view from above like MikesMusic123 channel, so we can all have a better view of what your fingers are doing, that'd be great. I suspect there are many what would like to learn to play this.

  • @gerstners .Thank you! I guess that you're a pianist too. I understand that it's a little bit difficult to find the right notes... I'll try to make another rush from above someday.

    Bye

  • well done! harry rules, do you do any of his other works?

  • Thank you! In fact I'm working one Basin Street Blues and I'll put Sunny Side Of Street soon!

  • I hate all people who can play tengths in their LH! Being a 9th er myself I long to play these pieces true but know I will never be able to.

    ps...spread = meh

  • Good job. Look for some places where he uses 10ths in the left hand. Often they are rolled, but not always. I transcribed Avalon from 20 several years ago. He's such a GREAT pianist, I wish he'd release more for us to enjoy!

  • My favorite contemporary stride recording! and you learned it note by note. Excellent job!

  • Very, very NICE!
