Bushido Blade (ブシドーブレード, Bushidō Burēdo?) is a 3D fighting game developed by Light Weight and published by Squaresoft and Sony for the PlayStation. The game features one-on-one armed combat. Its name refers to the Japanese code of honor, Bushidō.
Upon its release, the realistic fighting system in Bushido Blade was seen as quite innovative. A direct sequel, Bushido Blade 2, was released on the PlayStation a year later. Another game with a related title and gameplay, Kengo: Master of Bushido, was also developed by Light Weight for the PlayStation 2.

I played Red Shadow... she couldn't stand during a fight due to a sledgehammer blow. The cpu opponent approached to finish me off, but while in a kneeling position she lunged at the opponent and killed him with a blow to the head...before falling to the ground. Cool stuff !

This game taught me that I would never be a good samurai. I would always attack the people before they could finish talking.

I don't understand why Japan has had this on their Playstation Store since 2008 and NA doesn't even have it. If you're not going to HD remake it, at LEAST release it as a PSOne classic!

Damage is done by location, type, and position of the attack. The player experiences a real-life sword fight, in which the character gets injured from an attack or may be fatally killed with just one blow.

and you must fight fair like the bushido codex to continue the game(not from behind let them talk in the beginning etc..)
