A day of two halves in the woods, sunshine & heavy showers throughout, but a good day was had regardless of what the weather threw at us.

  • what type of folding saw is that? i think i saw Ray Mears using one just like it

  • @TheSmackfan101 - it's just a cheap folding pruning saw made by a company called TRT, it cuts on the pull stroke and works a treat, very similar to the Lappander RM uses, but considerably cheaper and in my op[inion better as it has different locking blade positions.

  • Are you using a Wetterling's axe? How long is the handle? Fantastic video, and channel!

  • @2GUNBOY nope it's a GBA Wildlife Hatchet

  • Great vid guys, really good finish on the mallets, i love the saw idea for eldests mallet who would of thought. Tell ya what that knife was made for his hands or what. Perfect. :)

  • @mounty27 - he made a rolling pin the same way, very safe way to do things like that, the knife is a perfect fit in his hands

  • Yeah I saw that one.

    Was some good work.

  • Thanks Bud

  • The knife is a Puukko that a good friend of mine in Finland sent him for Christmas, his brother has a slightly different one as well.

The tree has turned into a bit of a bonus, at first we thought it had buggered our regular site up, but in reality it's been a bit of a god send, it has meant a bit of a reorganisation of the site, but we think it's made things a lot better, more detail on the tree in my "Clearing Up After A Winter Storm Video"

  • A fallen tree with its trunk at hip height makes for an excellent workbench.

    (as we can see here)

Im interested in knowing what knife the boy is using at 7:53 ?

    YAY...Daffodils...My favorite
