The CLS55 is always faster than an M5 stock for stock when M5 is in 500hp.

In a 1/4 mile, the more torquey car will win. Torque is what makes a car quick off the line.
The Mercedes has a big 'ol supercharged V8 with 150 more pounds of torque than the M5.
9 times out of 10 the CLS55 will win in the 1/4 mile.
