periyar was hardly a rationalist. He was prepped up by western forces to destabilize india. rationalisim was a useful tool to attack brahmins. btw tamil brahmins have produced the greatest scientists in India. C.V.Raman was even the calibre of einstien. it was only hatred of periyar which made him attack a progressive and harmless community.
