  • Franck Black is by far one of the most important and productive songwriter of the last 20 years. With "Teenager of the year", he managed to do something really rare: an album that you can listen to, from one end to another, for hours. Go Franck!

  • So much negativity for such an awesome performance.

  • He's huge, but clearly no cunt. I bet he's sort of a special guy; seems very intelligent and he is a highly gifted songwriter. But why should he be a cunt?! I dont get it... I get this performance, on the other hand. Fucking TIGHT! Teenager of the Year is such a sweet and energetic record. Love the short songs! :)

  • FB is one of my favorites, especially TOTY but I heard he's a huge cunt.

  • @XthatsrightX yeah... you've really just backed up your argument by saying it again. Yeah I'd say he's a better studio musician, but he sucks live? 124 in 126 people don't think he sucks live, you need to open your eyes son

  • @ThePapapapaddy

Well my opinion was never based upon his style of live performance. It is based upon his being a much better studio musician than a live musician. There is no reason to defens it, it just is. But if you feel the need to ignore such an obvious thing there is little one could ever do to discuss it with you. Goodbye.

  • @XthatsrightX I disagree XthatswrongX. Although he loves a rock beat Frank got bored with straight pop culture a long time ago, in my opinion he plays the songs excellently live but in a different, bluesy style, different again to how he records. He doesn't aim to please with his live performance any more than with his albums; it's just you can listen to an album again and again, after you've read the NME or Pitchfork and consolidated 'your' opinion.

  • best ever!!!! He's amazing...

  • Frank has always had one major weakness, which shows actually less here than normal. He just sucks live. On recordings he is great, not everyone can do it live I guess.

  • I listened to Frank and the Pixies all night and then in the morning the words where stuck in my head and things go weird..... The lyrics are so amazing best songwriter of all time.

  • thank you so much for preserving this. I don't know how you did it, but you should be commended! This is fantastic and exactly what YouTube was invented for!

  • @ptran001 yeah...no. Lyle Workman is terrific.
