My Poor Lame Horsey!!! :( :(

Kirby has been lame for a month now...He has very BADDDD Thrush!!! He should be gettin better in the next week though!! :) :) Well While Kirbys lame my mom wanted scarlet to take a break from lessons nd hav me ride her!!!:) :) :) Enjoy

Kirby went lame in the middle of May 2010 and stayed lame untill the end of June 2011. We have just started working him back into fitness. At first we just thought that he had really bad thrush that wouldn't go away and we couldn't test him on anything else untill the thrush was gone. So after a year it was mostly gone and Kirby had a nerve block, he was still positive after that so the vet concluded that he has navicular and arthitis in his front left foot. She gave us a supplement that will help and bute, Kirby now gets his supplement everyday and bute whenever I'm doing more then a simple w/t/c or if he's being ridden for a few days straight. I was planning on doing hunters with him once he got better but the supplement that he is on has yukka which is a herb but if he was drug tested it would come up as a drug even though it's not. So Kirby will only be able to do schooling shows unless we want to put him on a different supplement, if we do that though we risk it not working as well and having Kirby be in pain and having to be put on bute permanetly. I'm just sooo confused right now about why this had to happen to him.....
