The famous John Sebastian, of Woodstock and Lovin' Spoonfull fame, sang at Bedstock 2010. This is a medley of those songs from our home movie camera!
Bedstock is presented by AMA Charitable Foundation , Inc.
BEDSTOCK is a charitable fundraiser that will benefit the evidence-based autism intervention services of Princeton Child Development Institute, New York Child Learning Institute, Institute for Educational Achievement, Somerset Hills Learning Institute, and the Garden Academy.
John had polyps in his throat that had to be surgically removed which partially explains his voice, but also he's aged and he was also a smoker. Either way, I still enjoy his voice and this is a great video. Thanks for the upload.

As we get older, unfortunately, so does our voice. The singers that I knew way back when, that are still around, have lost a certain amount of voice control. You'll notice that most of them end up talking some of the words as they just can't hit those certain notes anymore. Believe me, I know...I used to sing in lots of different groups and would do the occasional solo. Not anymore. I will harmonize, but no getting up front...the voice just isn't there anymore. He still plays well!

He doesn't sound like the John Sebastian of the Lovin' Spoonful records. What happened to his voice?

@hectorsalina john came to the same realization that mcguinn did that he didnt want to be in a rock group anymore too much excess baggage too many people with their hands in the cash box

Wish he would tour and perform live with a full band. Sebastian has the potential to put on a better show than the current version of the Lovin' Spoonful, which should not be allowed to use the name. Imagine if Ringo Starr decided to start touring and performing as The Beatles.
