@princesstamika " Women who dig comedy aren't popular with men because we tend to be unconventionally attractive. Perhaps if he was looking in the right place, he'd have found 'comedy oriented' females." You do know that one can turn that around once more? Perhaps women who dig comedy would do better if they were looking in the right place? It's very easy to blame ones short comings on other people having the wrong preferences, but that goes both ways, don't you think?

"Three years at the state's expense"?! Humph. It took me seven years to pay off my student loans and my little brother, well, he'll be paying his off until he 203.
Lucky, lucky, lucky bastards.

I need subtitles for this program. English. anyone have?

@fctchk He was looking in the wrong places. To put it simply.
-
@fctchk Nope. Just that it's erroneous. Women who dig comedy aren't popular with men because we tend to be unconventionally attractive. Perhaps if he was looking in the right place, he'd have found "comedy oriented" females. :P
You always find what you look for because your looking specifically for it. He was probably looking for (at) women who don't dig comedy.

@princesstamika I have no reason to doubt the accuracy of your anecdote just as I have no reason to doubt Mr. Palins observation. I would surmise, however, that the audience sample on which he based his observation vastly exceeds your preselected circle of already comedy oriented female friends who happen to be Python enthusiasts. My question stands: are you suggesting that Mr. Palin made up his observation?
-
@fctchk And as a woman who operates in mostly comedic theatre and stand up clubs, the audience immediately assume that because you're a woman you're not funny and aren't smart enough to tell great jokes or have great comedic timing. And any success you have will be chalked up to how cute/hot you are and not your comedic ability because you couldn't possibly have any of that because you're a woman.
-
@fctchk What? I was talking about the old sexist belief that women aren't funny and don't have the ability to understand good, intellectual comedy. Most of the Python fans I know are female. In highschool me and my gal pal were all huge python maniacs. I don't see why, if a woman is exposed to Python and likes that sort of comedy, we wouldn't like it. We saw 5 minutes of Life of Bryan in the 10th grade and loved Python from that point on. We didn't get it any less than our male counterparts.

@princesstamika "old, sexist, belief"? So Palin just made up this observation that women don't like python?
he is such a cutie!!!

When Micheal was talking about the six of them and how if you take one away it ruins the whole thing I thought of Graham Chapman and became very sad. :(
