It took about 10 to 15 minutes to teach Nimrod this trick, practising each stage for a few minutes till it was perfect before moving on to the next stage. PLEASE NOTE all you budding trainers, Nimrod ALREADY KNEW how to lead quietly , how to stand quietly and how to be unafraid when things are dangled round his legs. You do NOT pull on the rope . What you see is what you do untill the horse 'get's ' it (which could take weeks lol ) To see the finished article see his Mum do the same trick in " Horse doing tricks for non-existant carrots " or check out " Why would you teach tricks to a horse ? " in which Nimrod is a LOT bigger.
Loved this video. I`ve viewed it, I think 3 times.Def a favourite. Appreciate the time and patience involved tho no trainer of horses myself. A beautiful horse...

I'm glad you enjoyed it; training a horse is pretty much the same as training a dog IMO , maybe that's why I keep teaching them tricks ...Just giant dogs !
