Minecraft 1.0.0 - Chicken Farming

The eggs have a 1/8 change of hatching a baby chicken, which will then grow to be an adult and lay infinite eggs every 4~5 minutes. The chicken tube seen in this video holds over 100 chickens, and blocks most hostile mobs spawns. It is an excellent alternative to wheat farming and breeding, as it gives plenty of food. It is very noisy though, and most other noises get cut short so the chicken noises can play. (Good thing I can't record sound, eh?)

The redstone torch lets me know when there are eggs on the pressure plate. It's almost never off.

I have 99 XP and enchanted tools because this is my private test server (which also explains why the chickens are glitching through the roof) and servers have a command to give players experience.

the chickens seem to walk trough the glass and then they run away huw can i stop this ?

They do 0 hearts of damage to them, yes. But 0+0 is still 0.

Just some redstone under the floor and in the walls leading to the other side of the block the torch was on. Of course there had to be a redstone torch inverter to make the visible one on when the plate was activated. Glad you like the design! ;)
