Burly Sports newscaster, Nick Stevens, notes that the NBA playoffs are underway. This means that Kobe Bryant and Lebron James are scheduled for a showdown. It's as epic as that Kurt Russell movie, "Big Trouble in Little China."
The Florida Marlins open with an 11-1 start but that's not what everybody's talking about. Instead, Red Sox second baseman, Dustin Pedroia, had an interview with Boston Magazine where he called his hometown of Woodland, CA a "dump." This isn't to mock the fact that Pedroia's family owns a tire shop, however.
In a quick update of sports broadcasters, John Madden is retired, Matt Millen is rehired and Stephen A. Smith is fired. Well, not really. It was more along the lines of the proverbial "mutual breakup" situation.
