The mist Trailer

"The Mist" is a horror novella by the American author Stephen King, in which the small town of Bridgton, Maine is suddenly enveloped in an unnatural mist that conceals otherworldly monsters. It was first published as the last and longest story of the 1980 horror anthology Dark Forces, edited by Kirby McCauley. A lightly re-edited version was included in King's 1985 short-story collection Skeleton Crew. The story is the longest entry in Skeleton Crew and occupies the first 133 pages. To coincide with the theatrical release, "The Mist" was republished as a stand-alone novella by Signet.

Ein genialer Film...das einige Splatter freunde nicht auf Ihre Kosten kommen ...was solls..kuckt weiter Land of the Death, blablabla of the death,Saw 2,3 usw. oder Rambo. Der Film glänzt gerade durch seinen Tiefgang (manche würden das als langweilig bezeichnen...aber für die geb ich mal ein tipp: Lest keine Bücher) die Schauspielerische Leistung , gute Effekte , düstere bedrückende Geschichte und ein ende , das einen nur schlucken lässt...

This was the best movie I will never watch again. I live in Bridgton and shop at Food City. I still get triggered sometimes in the checkout aisle. Even though it has been renovated, it used to look just like the store in the movie. I saw the outline of a deer on the edge of blowing snow this winter (looked like mist to me!) and my heart did not stop pounding for ten minutes. Still, nothing I have seen before or since is as terrifying as the ending.
