www.dalebagpipes.com.au presents Dale bagpipes #1. Acetal plastic (delrin), plain turned, combed with full immitation horn mounts. This bagpipe has a full, rich, smooth and harmonic tone which is unfortunatley not captured as well as it could be in this clip. It is a very stable instrument due to the alterations i have made to the original 1920's henderson plans i have been working with. the alterations include tapering and flaring of bore in the stocks, and also tapering the shoulders inside the tuning pin chambers- this creates a more direct path for the air to flow and eliminates unwanted turbulence feeding back to the reeds- this allows the drones to lock together with themselves and then lock with the chanter, allowing long playing periods of withought needing to tune the instrument.
the first of the wooden sets are currently in the seasoning stage but will be ready for playing in the next few months. please visit www.dalebagpipes.com.au for more information and contact details.
Out of curiosity, do you have these available yet? I didn't see them on your site.
